The 700 year old city Radstadt im Pongau in the Salzburg Land area is located on a terrasse which was completely mounted in the 13th<\/sup> century. Radstadt was the only city in the province of Salzburg to gain the grant privileges of a town in 1289. The following years Radstadt successfully battled many conflagrations, Peasants' war in 1525\/26 and the flow of refugees during World War 2.<\/p>\n

He was a famous organ player and composer who played for the emperor Maximilian I.
